There aren’t any hidden deductions with Carbon Poker rakeback – the only limitation rakeback players have is that they earn VIP points at a slower rate than their non-rakeback counterparts. But, as anyone who gets Carbon Poker rakeback will tell you, that’s a minor issue that doesn’t really put much of a dent in your ability to profit. Bottom line: yo’re much better off with rakeback than without it.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Getting rakeback at Carbon Poker does in no way disqualify you for major promotions such as the currently running mega Millions, or similar promotions.

In fact, getting rakeback really only has one side effect at Carbon Poker – you will earn VIP points at a slower rate than a typical player. That’s not really a big deal when you consider the value of rakeback to your bottom line – earning VIP points slower still puts you far, far ahead of a player earning them at the full rate but not receiving rakeback.

In general, rakeback is always going to be the best value available at a room, hands down. Don’t get fooled by sites that offer exclusive bonuses and promotions but try to get you to sign up without rakeback – they’re just trying to fatter their own wallet at your expense.

You won’t find that at Carbon Poker. There are absolutely no bonuses deducted from your rakeback payment, the way you’ll find bonuses deducted at other major rooms such as Full Tilt. That’s the great thing about Carbon Poker rakeback – the rakeback policy isn’t riddled with exceptions or confusing structures. You can get a good sense of what you’re set to earn right up front, without confusion calculations

A lot of people have a misconception about rakeback at Carbon Poker. They think that if you get rakeback at Carbon Poker, you don’t qualify for the VIP program.

That’s not true, even in the least – all players at Carbon Poker qualify for the VIP program and the benefits it brings, regardless of whether or not they get rakeback.

It is true that players who get rakeback at Carbon Poker earn VIP points at a slower rate – 35% – but that’s a small price to pay for getting 35% of your rakeback at Carbon poker, and when you do the math you come out way ahead getting rakeback at Carbon Poker as opposed to just signing up directly and getting the full VIP earn rate.

In short, look out for claims that you won’t get VIP status at Carbon Poker. Affiliates make these claims in an attempt to get you to sign up for their deal, knowing that their deal is inferior to rakeback at Carbon Poker. Do the math and you’ll find that rakeback at Carbon Poker is absolutely the best deal you’ll be able to find for Carbon Poker as a player.

In Rakeback, size matters, and that’s one of the reasons we’re such a fan of the Carbon Poker rakeback deal. It’s, by our math, the best rate available online. To explain further:

– The base rate, 35%, is higher on face than offers at other major rooms.

– Carbon runs both internal and external rake chases that easily add another 5–15% on the rate.

– Carbon regularly runs deposit and redeposit bonuses that you can clear without a hit to your rakeback, adding more % to your rakeback rate.

– Carbon does NOT deduct bonuses from your rakeback, meaning you can accrue all of the bonuses and promos listed above ON TOP of your rakeback. Most major rooms deduct bonuses – Full Tilt certainly does.

Put it all together and you’re looking at a true rakeback rate that easily exceeds 50% and can creep well into the 70’s if you manage your bonuses correctly. That’s the best rate at a mor room that we’re aware of.

When people first hear about rakeback, their reaction is often something along the lines of “oh, big deal – I’ll get a couple bucks back a week. Not worth the hassle.”

Those people might be otherwise intelligent, but on this particular score they’ve missed the boat. The impact of rakeback, even for casual players, isn’t a couple of bucks a week. In fact, rakeback at Carbon Poker can result in you pocketing several thousand dollars a year, easily.

Let’s say you only play poker ten hours a week, and you only play 2 table when you do. On average, you’re going to probably see 150 hands per hour at those two tables, so you’re going to see about 1500 hands a week. You’re also going to pay a pretty good amount in rake – easily $200 if you’re playing $2/$4 limit.

So, if you’re getting Carbon Poker rakeback (35%), that’s over $70 a week you’re getting back, and this is just for casual players. Multiple that out over the year and the real impact of rakeback becomes clear – you’re talking about $3,640 in rakeback.

That’s a pretty big check to get for doing nothing other than signing up through a link. You don’t lose any bonuses, there’s no fine print – rakeback is a poker player’s best friend.

Sit and Go players can really earn a ton of cash with rakeback. Next to cash game players, SNG players pay more rake than anyone. Every table (and they’re usually playing several) is a table where rake was paid, so each SNG earns them rakeback.

Here’s an example. Let’s say Jim plays SNGs at Carbon Poker, and he plays a lot of them. He might have an average buy in of $20, so on each SNG he plays, he’s paying $2 in rake (that’s the +2 part of the $20+2 buy in – that’s the rake).

Let’s say Jim plays about 50 SNGs a week (which is actually a very modest number – many SNG pros can play this many in just an hour or two). That means Jim is going to play just about 2600 SNGs a year.

How much will Jim save in rakeback? He’s going to pay a whopping $5200 in rake over the course of the year (that’s a pretty big number, right?). Since he gets 35% rakeback from Carbon, Jim will earn almost two thousand dollars in rakeback ($1820, to be exact),

To put that in perspective, Jim could buy into 91 more SNGs with his rakeback payments at Carbon Poker – not bad for doing absolutely nothing but signing up for the site the right way, no?

With the final table at the main event set, the new question is, who will sign with which site? When the N9 picture was taken, 7 of the 9 players had FTP gear on, with only chip leader Duhamel and short stack Jason Senti sporting PS gear. Only 3 players can be represented by each site, and with The Grinder all but certain to go with FTP, the real question becomes, where will the six remaining players (Cheong, Nguyen, Candio, Racener, Dolan, Jarvis) sign with? Racener and Dolan seem like the strongest picks for FTP, and Cheong and Candio both have ties to PS, so it may be Jarvis and Nguyen that sign with Cereus/Doyle’s Room/other network.

Phil Hellmuth is making headlines with his mouth once again, this time telling viewers, “Ivey won’t pass me in five years. That’s impossible,” and assuring that he will still have a comfortable 3-4 bracelet lead in 5 years; he thinks he’ll be at 14-15 and Ivey at 10-11. Now, we all know Hellmuth loves to boast and brag, but to tell arguably the world’s greatest poker player that, hey, you don’t have a shot at passing me in five year? Don’t be shocked if we hear about an insanely massive prop bet from Ivey issued out to Hellmuth, Dwan, or anyone else that will take the bet in the coming months, and don’t be shocked to see Ivey make a big charge to pass Hellmuth in five years. Doesn’t the Poker Brat know what happens when you doubt Ivey?

This is a fact that shuld be well-known, but surprisingly a lot of players who get rakeback aren’t aware that other major rooms often deduct promotions, deposit bonuses and basically anything else they can from your rake, reducing your rakeback payment.

Let’s say you had a real long session at Full Tilt and managed to rake $600 in a day – not a small feat. Now let’s say because you played so much, you also cleared a $600 deposit bonus while you were playing.

Guess how much rakeback you get? If you think the answer is anything above zero, you’re wrong. FTP deducts all our your bonuses from your rake before calculating the rakeback payment due to you.
